GARDEN WRITER | DESIGNER

I design gardens large and small in a range of different styles from contemporary to cottage. I believe that beautiful gardens don't necessarily have to mean big budgets, and that a series of small changes can be all that's needed to make inspiring outdoor spaces.

This project in Pt Chevalier, Auckland centres around a perennial meadow of grasses, ferns and flowering perennials with stepping stones through it. This provides an informal entry point to the garden as well as a lush contrast with the smooth lawn at the street edge, and the private paved pool courtyard beyond. Stepping stones are also used for another small courtyard on the eastern side which is planted with Japanese maple, groundcovers and shade loving plants.
